Georgian Pewter Candlesticks
From the seventeenth century onwards, there was scarcely a household in Britain that did not possess some items of pewter: plates, bowls, tankards, spoons, candlesticks were just some of the everyday items made from pewter.
This is a handsome pair of pewter candlesticks from the Georgian period. This style of candlestick would have been in most houses of the period except the very poorest.
Candlesticks are in good condition with no losses, their is an ancient repair to the balluster on one stick, but it is quite sound.
