A Key Shaped Corkscrew
Corkscrews were part of the general equipment of a middle to upper class society in the 19th century. Wine drinking was only a pastime of the wealthy, the poorer households would drink beer and cider, as the ingredients for these drinks were cheap and readily available, unlike grapes which required a green house or orangerie to grow in the British weather
This is a Key shaped corkscrew with a verdigris finish.
